47th Ward Eco Fest

Join us for the 47th Ward Eco Fest, hosted by the 47th Ward of Chicago.

Happening on Saturday, June 7, 2025, from 10 AM to 2 PM, this community event makes it easy to declutter responsibly and recycle items that don’t belong in your curbside bin.

Location: Welles Park, 2333 W. Sunnyside Ave., Chicago, IL 60625

Bring your hard-to-recycle items and let Flat Can take care of the rest—we handle the tricky stuff, so you don’t have to.

Here’s what we’ll be recycling, along with their convenience fees:

• Aerosols: $1 each
• Bubble Cars: $10 each
• Car Seats: $10 each
• Hard Hats: $1 each
• Helium Tanks: $10 each
• Highchairs: $10 each
• Household Batteries: $4/pound
• Latex Paint: Sample Pint – Free, Quart – $3, Gallon – $7, 5-Gallon Pail – $22
• Power Wheels: $20 each
• Propane/MAPP Gas (14 & 16 oz): $4 each
• Smoke & CO₂ Detectors: $1 each
• Strollers: $10 each
• Tricycles (plastic only): $10 each
