Hard hat recycling FAQs

Yes, in collaboration with our processing partners, we accept hard hats for recycling.

Over 6 million hard hats are sold every year in the USA. And, as sturdy as they are, hard hats typically have a maximum lifespan of five years (not to mention they should be inspected weekly for additional damage and issues). It may be tempting to throw those hard hats away, but that’s a heck of a lot of high-density polyethylene (HDPE) clogging up landfill.

To recycle car seats, we partner with Quincy Recycling.

Thankfully, there’s a way to divert hard hats from landfill and responsibly recycle them. Our recycling partner takes that heavy-duty material that protects your noggin and processes it into plastic flakes and pellets for reuse (such as plastic injection molding).
